Buses and parking
The N4 is closed to all traffic on race morning. Choose a bus when you enter, based on where you will park (eMgwenya or Ngodwana), so we can send enough buses to each pick-up point.
You must select one bus pick-up point when you enter. Without one you won’t get a bus ticket and will need to make your own way between the start and finish. No one is allowed on a bus without a ticket.
42.2km
Recommended: park at the finish, the Sappi Skills Training Centre (SSTC) in Ngodwana, and take a bus to the start in eMgwenya (Waterval Boven). The first bus leaves the SSTC at 02:30 and the last at 04:30. You finish where your car is securely parked.
If you can’t park at the SSTC, park at the start in eMgwenya and run to the finish. Return buses take you back to your car after the race, leaving only once the race is over and the road reopens at 11:30.
21.1km
Recommended: park at the SSTC in Ngodwana and take a bus to the start at the Malaga Hotel on the N4. The first bus leaves the SSTC at 04:40 and the last at 05:20.
If you can’t park at the SSTC, park at the Malaga Hotel and run to the finish. Return buses leave once the race is over and the road reopens at 11:30.
If you park at Oosterlijn School in eMgwenya, a bus leaves at 05:20 for the 21.1km start at Malaga and the 10km start.
10km
There are no buses for the 10km. The race starts and finishes at the SSTC in Ngodwana, so park there before the start.
