Race Rules 2026
1. General Rules
- The referee's decision is final.
- Obey all traffic officials and race marshals.
- The race is conducted according to the rules of ASA, WA (World Athletics), and AMPU.
- No seconding or pacing of any kind is allowed.
- All athletes participate at their own risk and must be medically fit to compete.
2. Age Limits
- Half Marathon (21.1 km): Participants must be 16 years or older on race day.
- Marathon (42.2 km): Participants must be 20 years or older on race day.
- Proof of age (ID) must be produced upon request.
3. Club & License Rules
- Registered athletes must wear full club colours.
- ASA 2026 license numbers must be visible on the front and back of the vest.
- Temporary licenses must be worn on the back of the vest.
- Race numbers must be worn on the front of the vest and must not cover ASA-sponsored logos.
- Age category ID tags must be clearly displayed on all four corners (front and back).
- Walkers competing for prizes must display a “W” on the left front and back of the vest.
- Foreign athletes must provide a clearance letter from their home federation.
4. Safety & Conduct
- Provide next-of-kin details (name & contact number) on the entry form and race number.
- No littering – use waste boxes along the route and at the start/finish.
- Event photographs may be taken and used on social media.
- The use of earphones is prohibited and may lead to disqualification.
5. Prize & Timing
- All open winners will be determined Gun-to-Mat.
- Prize money is paid via electronic transfer only. Bring proof of banking details for prize payments.
6. Compliance
- All athletes must comply with all race rules.
- Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification.
